Airport T‑hangar project overbid by $120,000; hangar leases and upgrades pending

Gail Martin, the airport manager, told the Airport Authority and council that the T-hangar project came in $120,000 over budget and the city is waiting for Holt Consulting to advise whether additional funds can be identified or the project must be scaled back. She said hangar lease agreements will be sent to tenants after review and approval by the city attorney.
Ms. Martin also listed projected airport improvements including vegetation treatment around the fence perimeter, front office and lounge improvements, insulation for the community hangar roof, and hangar flooring work (strip, fill cracks, repaint). She said a wedding request for August was pending additional details from the requestor.
