Selectboard authorizes contractor to climb and cut poplar at transfer station
Summary

Gary Mullen reported he had spoken with the Barnaby family about dropping a tree from the transfer-station property onto their land and presented the board with a proposed contractor solution. The board discussed having Isaac Sacca of Vermont Tree Company LLC climb and remove the poplar on transfer-station land to avoid limbs falling onto Barnaby property.
Mike McPhetres moved to allow Vermont Tree Company LLC to climb and cut the poplar on the transfer-station property; John O’Brien seconded and the board voted unanimously to permit the work. The minutes record no additional restrictions or start date for the contractor.
The authorization is intended to protect neighboring property from falling limbs while allowing the transfer station to retain safe operation.
