Cynthia Radegan urges resident representation, calls airport noise study "set up to fail"

Cynthia Radegan, a longtime local resident, used the public-input slot to tell the Airport Advisory Board that neighbors are "being gravely impacted" by aircraft noise and that no one on current committees is adequately representing resident interests. "The airport manager's office is here to manage, maintain, upkeep, and expand, and update the airport. That's his job. The airport advisory board's job is looking out for the business interest of this airport," she said, adding that residents need a seat at the table.
Radegan pressed the board to form a noise-abatement committee that includes resident representation and not only aviation or industry-aligned members. She also criticized the board-funded noise study, saying it was intentionally flawed: "That noise study you all paid so much money for, it was set up to fail," she said. Board members listened and the Chair thanked her for the comments; no formal action was taken at the meeting, though members acknowledged the concern and discussed future opportunities to revisit noise processes.
