Leola council approves treasurer’s report and pays March bills totaling over $37,000

The City of Leola council on March 3 approved the treasurer’s report and authorized payment of March bills and payroll. The treasurer’s report included bank balances of General Fund $549,266.42; Revolving Loan Fund $45,405.83; Project Account $9,638.41, and a payroll and vendor register that totaled $37,445.59 for the period recorded.
Councilors moved to approve vendor payments and payroll (motions by Brett Schaible and Alan Wimer carried by unanimous consent). The council noted a pending $500 donation to the Leola Development Corporation that will be paid after financials are submitted; community member Keenan Stoecker requested a separate $500 donation to the Rhubarb Committee for upcoming community activities.
