The City of Leola council took three formal actions at its Sept. 26, 2024 special meeting. Council member Jackie Rau moved, seconded by Jackie Leibel, to rescind Rau’s Sept. 5 approval of a special exception to move a mobile home into town; the council voted unanimously and the motion carried. Separately, the council voted unanimously to table a new special request to move an older mobile home until the Oct. 7 meeting for additional research.
The council also heard a building-permit presentation from Tracy Hutson on behalf of Agtegra and, after questions about drainage, road maintenance and annexation, voted unanimously (moved by Alan Wimer, seconded by Brett Schaible) to table the Agtegra discussion to Oct. 7. Alan Wimer moved, seconded by Jackie Rau, to adjourn the meeting at 8:16 p.m.; that motion carried unanimously. No ordinances or permits were approved at the Sept. 26 meeting; several items were scheduled for additional staff research and a follow-up on Oct. 7.
