Tracy Hutson joined the City of Leola special meeting on Sept. 26, 2024, to present Agtegra’s request for a building permit to construct a bunker north of the elevator. Council members discussed project specifications and expressed concerns about drainage impacts, additional traffic and road maintenance, and whether annexing the property into the city should be considered as part of the permitting process.
Alan Wimer moved, seconded by Brett Schaible, to table the building-permit discussion to the Oct. 7 meeting so council and staff could obtain additional information; the motion carried unanimously. No formal permit decision was made at the Sept. 26 meeting. Council requested more research and will revisit the request at the Oct. 7 meeting.
