Vergennes Area Rescue reports call volumes, recruiting progress to council

She said VARS is continuing to recruit and has several new volunteers; she also said VARS will send updates to be posted on the city website.
Lindemann presented a handout with monthly call counts and noted staffing and coverage strains during out‑of‑service periods. She emphasized recruiting as an immediate priority and flagged that updated volunteer rosters and response‑time data would be made available to the city for posting.
Council members thanked Job Corps and a local partnership for recent public‑works assistance earlier in the meeting. VARS did not request action from council at this session beyond informational updates.
