Raymore communications highlights arts events, pork-tornadoes concert set for Aug. 14

Communications staff Harmer told the council July 27 that recent and upcoming arts events have been well attended and provided dates for fall programming.
"August's concert is Friday, August 14, start time 07:30PM...This is with the Pork Tornadoes," Harmer said, describing the band as a high-energy party act. She also noted the Station Stop Art Party at T.B. Hanna Station (Saturday, 9 a.m.–noon) with children's arts activities and a meet-and-greet with local author/artist Phyllis Harris; the parks-and-rec program guide and the fall issue of the review will be mailed in early September.
Harmer said food vendors and family-friendly activities will be available and that some events are free to the public.
