Parks and Recreation staff briefed the council July 27 on the close of summer programming and upcoming fall transitions.
"Our summer camp ends on August 7, but we will be taking August 4 off as our facility is used as a boating location," Musteen told the council. He outlined field trips this week, a final field day and picnic, and described the schedule for youth sports: baseball ends this Friday, soccer ends August 7, and flag football and volleyball end August 16. The department also continues its Tuesday farmers market and plans a mini mud run on the last Friday before school starts.
Musteen said details are included in the council packet and invited questions; none were recorded during the meeting.
