Council approves DRB appointment, auditor appointment and one-year Shaw's licenses

Council appointed John Emerson to the Development Review Board through July 31, 2024, appointed Chris LaPierre as auditor for a one-year term, and approved Brockton Corporation (d/b/a Shaw's) one-year tobacco, tobacco-substitute and 2nd class liquor licenses.
During the March 27 meeting the Vergennes City Council approved several routine personnel and licensing items. Deputy Mayor Dickie Austin moved, and Alderman Mark Koenig seconded, to accept the Planning Commission recommendation to appoint John Emerson to the Development Review Board for a term ending July 31, 2024; the motion passed 7–0.
Council also approved the one-year appointment of Chris LaPierre as auditor for a term expiring at the next town meeting in 2025. In addition, the council voted to approve one-year licenses for Brockton Corporation (d/b/a Shaw's): a tobacco license, a tobacco-substitute endorsement license, and a second-class liquor license. All motions passed unanimously (7–0).
