Staff will prepare revised chapters and draft maps; commission schedules another review before public hearings

The commission concluded the session by agreeing staff (Ray, Mustafa and Peter) would revise Chapters 1 and 2 to reflect direction given and would produce a current‑state zoning map and first draft future land‑use map to guide subsequent chapters. Peter urged the commission not to let the map work stop progress: "If we can get this to, you know, a 70 or 80% with a quick review and keep working on the land use map... let's do that and review it," he said.
Commissioners tentatively agreed to another work session to review the revised chapters and maps, then to begin Chapters 3 and 4. Staff also said they will share the maps as read‑ahead material so commissioners can provide focused feedback at the next session.
