Summit County restaurant tax advisory committee elects officers for 2026

The Summit County Restaurant Tax Advisory Committee elected new officers for 2026 during its opening meeting. Member Billy DeMoe nominated Alyssa Marsh for chair; after a second from Ryan Kristen, the committee approved Marsh by voice vote, and she accepted the role.
Marsh thanked members after taking the chair. "Thank you, guys," she said upon receiving the gavel. The group then nominated Beth Rossi for vice chair and Ryan Kristen for secretary; both nominations were seconded and approved by voice vote. Member Billy DeMoe and others praised the committee’s succession work and said they expect role transitions this year as several members complete their terms.
Why it matters: The newly elected officers will lead the advisory committee that reviews restaurant tax grant applications and advises the county on allocations. The election was one of the first orders of business so the committee could proceed with calendar and application planning.
