Staff recommended approval with added landscaping to screen the queue and improve visual compatibility with the arterial.
John Rogers, the civil engineer of record, said the project team studied multiple configurations and pointed to nearby examples of wraparound drive-throughs. "So appreciate your support. This is a a vibrant business, and, we're proud to be a part of it and proud to be in Broken Arrow," he said. Rogers also confirmed the team will provide a detailed irrigation plan to maintain proposed trees and screening.
Board members asked whether irrigation and detailed landscaping plans would be submitted; the applicant said detailed irrigation would be installed and that the landscaping is "very robust" to offset the request. No members of the public signed up to speak on this item, and the board voted to approve the variance unanimously.
