The Wilson County Commissioners Court approved a budget amendment July 27 moving $192,000 from the Precinct 1 Road & Bridge Reserve Fund into the machinery and equipment line to purchase a John Deere 544G loader under a Sourcewell cooperative contract. County staff verified the fund balance and said the Sourcewell contract covers bidding and procurement.
The court's motion to transfer funds was made and seconded; the court voted by voice to approve the amendment. County staff said the transfer would allow Precinct 1 to proceed with the equipment purchase without separately running a bidding process because Sourcewell provides the cooperative procurement vehicle.
