Weathersfield Planning Commission adopts letter on Act 181, asks Selectboard to append statement and signatures

During the April 6 meeting the Commission discussed state legislation (Act 181 and S.325) and a draft letter to the legislature. Mr. Mike Todd read the draft aloud and Commissioners debated whether to have separate letters from the Planning Commission and the Selectboard. After amending the draft, the Commission voted unanimously to adopt the Planning Commission letter and to sign and send it immediately.
Commissioners also voted to forward the letter to the Selectboard with a request that the Selectboard copy, address, and include its own statement and signatures. Mr. Todd proposed creating a petition-style sheet for residents to sign in support and placing a sample letter on the Town website to facilitate resident submissions. The Commission recorded its motions and passed the actions unanimously.
