City Administrator Mike Williams reported that the final design for the Main Street project, including the intersection signal work, is complete and that staff expects to put the work out to bid in the coming weeks. Williams said the work includes signal improvements at specified intersections and that a bid schedule was imminent.
On Area 4, Mr. Williams said an engineering agreement is in place for the E. Yakima Road project and the Yakima/Lincoln intersection; design is underway, with the scope intended to be finished for bidding in April and construction anticipated in summer. He said staff will provide cost comparisons for asphalt versus concrete for the board to review before final decisions. Williams also noted a possible ribbon-cutting at Idaho Milk Products in May for a new ice cream facility tied to local industrial development.
