The proclamation also noted Davis's participation in the Mayor's Walking Challenge, during which he walked several hundred miles to earn grant funds that were donated to improve exercise facilities at Jerome elementary schools. Mayor Christopher Jon Barber signed the proclamation and the council recorded unanimous support.
