Council approves downtown parking lot and intersection bids totaling about $2.65 million

Charlie Bright reported that the downtown Rose District parking lot at Commercial and Ash will add 17 spaces. Four bidders submitted proposals and Magnum Construction was the low responsible bidder at $276,443; staff recommended award based on price and prior performance.
Engineering reported the Aspen & Jasper intersection project received four bids and the apparent low bidder was Paragon Construction with a total bid of $2,373,118.11 for milling, overlay, intersection improvements and related work. Staff recommended award to Paragon as the low responsible bidder.
Council moved and seconded motions to approve both awards; staff will proceed to execute contracts with the selected firms and schedule construction steps per project timelines.
