Broken Arrow council adopts $454 million FY2026 municipal budget

"The FY2026 proposed municipal budget this year is $454,000,499," Sydney Arnold said. She explained the reduction in capital spending and a modest increase in operating costs; staff underscored that adopting the budget tonight does not automatically change current utility rates — any rate changes would be considered separately when the manual of fees comes before council.
After questions and a brief public comment, a council member moved to adopt Resolution 1669 to authorize the FY2026 budget and another council member seconded; the council conducted a roll call and approved the resolution. Staff said the manual of fees and any utility rate changes would be scheduled for a later, separate meeting.
