Board bans parking on north side of McIntyre Circle to preserve roadway access

The Village Board approved Ordinance 2026-09 to prohibit parking on the north side of McIntyre Circle. Director of Public Works Geoff Farr told trustees the street will be 28 feet wide and that allowing parking on both sides would leave limited room for traffic; staff recommended the north-side parking prohibition to maintain adequate access.
Trustee Mike Nieft asked what circumstances might prompt converting the street to one-way; Farr said staff would monitor parking demand after the neighborhood is developed and occupied and could recommend changes later. Trustee Maria Lasecki moved to approve the ordinance; Trustee Cathy Hughes seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
