Board approves film incentive application for feature 'Horrified'; item to go to council

Producer Randy Wayne (Rebellion) told the board the production is fully cast and expects to spend about $1.8 million locally over seven weeks, with principal photography beginning July 19. Wayne said about 92% of the crew will be local hires and estimated approximately 530 hotel room nights over the shoot. "We're spending around $1,800,000 in Broken Arrow, over 7 weeks," Wayne said. The board voted to approve the rebate request not to exceed $59,000; staff noted because the amount is greater than $50,000 it will be presented to City Council for final approval.
Board members congratulated staff for recruiting the project and asked staff to work with the production to minimize guest disruption and to coordinate hotel room-night tracking for reimbursement.
