Governmental Affairs Director Lisa Bodie presented a More Heart nomination for Tim Johnson, identifying him as FM Kicks' executive director and crediting him for organizing the summer youth jazz camp, grant writing, fundraising and years of musical leadership. Tim Johnson accepted the honor on behalf of the FM Kicks band and invited the community to the jazz festival on August 1–2.
Bodie also announced the city communications team had received a silver Northern Lights award from the Minnesota Association of Government Communicators for a redesigned parks department festival trailer. The mayor and council congratulated designer Caleb and the communications team for the work.
