"The traffic safety board is recommending that the town board remove the East Side parking restriction in its entirety between those two streets," Schragle said in his presentation while explaining the background study and public outreach.
A resident, Dan Coggan, proposed keeping a short no‑parking buffer near the corner as a compromise to preserve sight lines and reduce potential queuing into Hartford Road. After the board discussed an amendment to retain a 100‑foot restriction at the southern end, members voted to approve the resolution as amended.
The amendment reflects a balancing of neighborhood convenience with intersection safety; the Traffic Safety Board will incorporate the specific signage and map changes during implementation.
