Brad Buekert, director of the web division at In‑House Advertising, told the Visit Broken Arrow board the destination website moved to WordPress in October/November to remove previous limitations and enable ongoing improvements. "We launched the new site in November," Buekert said, and he emphasized the platform choice was made to support future expansion.
Buekert said the site was learning from approximately 5,000 web pages for the AI chatbot and that staff will guide the chatbot’s training and content focus. He reported a jump in monthly unique visitors from about 2,100 prior to the relaunch to roughly 2,750 since launch, and noted average session length rose from under a minute to about one minute.
Board members asked about next steps for site monitoring and seasonal content updates; Buekert recommended ongoing site monitoring services, seasonal refreshes of guide content and continued direction of the chatbot’s learning to answer visitor questions effectively. No formal vote or budget change was requested during the presentation.
