Saxonburg Authority begins 2027 budget drafting; e-billing grows to ~1,650 users

The Saxonburg Area Authority told board members on July 21 that staff will begin preparing a draft 2027 budget over the next month. Director of Finance Melissa Wolfe asked members to email any special items to Manager Paul Cornetti or to her so they can be entered into the draft.
Wolfe also reported approximately 1,650 customers are signed up for electronic billing, which she said saves customers roughly $20,000 per year; she noted the Authority has about 4,600 active customers overall. Board members did not object to the approach and directed staff to proceed with the budget timeline.
