Senator Melissa Wintrow briefly presented RS3993, a proposal to exclude photographs or images taken of deceased individuals from public‑record disclosure. Wintrow said stakeholders agreed the measure balances protecting the dignity of a decedent while maintaining transparency for the press. "This bill is very simple. It merely excludes from public disclosure the photographs or images taken of a deceased individual," she said.
The committee asked no follow‑up questions and moved to send RS3993 to print. The chair closed the meeting after the vote.
