Planning commission approves minor PUD amendment to expand sign allowance

The Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission on July 2 approved a minor amendment (PUD-261-A-4) to increase the allowable wall sign area on the western elevation of an equipment penthouse at a Riverwood Office Park property. Staff told the commission the amendment would permit signage about 83 square feet larger than current allowances and would apply only to the western elevation shown in the applicant’s exhibit.
Staff found the amendment consistent with PUD administration rules and determined it was a minor amendment that did not change remaining development standards. Commissioner Bulmash moved to approve the consent item; Commissioner Shivel seconded and the motion passed unanimously, 7-0-0. The commission’s approval followed staff recommendation; the item will proceed per the standard PUD amendment process.
