The commission approved a request to reduce a PUD setback requirement that will allow an addition to a religious assembly building west of East 76th Street South and South Memorial Drive. Staff noted the underlying zoning would require a 25‑foot setback for religious assemblies; the applicant requested a 50‑foot setback (reduced from the PUD’s existing 80 feet) to better preserve a buffer to the park.
Mike Thedford, the applicant’s representative, said the design concept accommodates one‑car garages for townhomes in a related plat extension. Staff recommended approval and the commission approved the consent agenda, including this amendment, by a 9-0 vote.
