Council appoints three members to new Neighborly Barre Committee

Council interviewed and approved three appointments to the newly formed Neighborly Barre Committee. Tracy Lewis, who identified herself as executive director of the Barre Partnership, said she is eager to help promote the committee’s work. “I’m the executive director of the Barre Partnership…I’m excited to be a part of the committee,” Lewis said.
Joanne Reynolds said she is a retiree with time to volunteer and is enthusiastic about organizing events to strengthen neighborhood connections. The council moved, seconded and approved appointments by voice vote; members were assigned staggered terms so future continuity is maintained. The council noted appreciation for the candidates’ willingness to serve and asked staff to confirm term dates in the appointment memo.
