Council appoints Alexandria Hadley as city treasurer and part-time municipal court clerk

On Nov. 19 the council voted 5-0 to appoint Alexandria Hadley as City Treasurer/Utility Clerk and part-time Municipal Court Clerk effective Dec. 1, 2025, pending preemployment screenings.
Mayor Debra Wilson and City Clerk Jodi Wade completed interviews for the City Treasurer/Part-Time Municipal Court Clerk position. Mayor Wilson recommended Alexandria Hadley for the combined roles.
Council Member Thomas Capp moved to appoint Alexandria Hadley as City Treasurer/Utility Clerk and part-time Municipal Court Clerk effective Dec. 1, 2025, at the pay rate established in the current employee pay scales and contingent on preemployment screenings. The motion was seconded by Council Member Ed Smith and passed 5-0.
Clerk Wade also reported on topics from the recent Kansas Municipal Gas Association conference (KMGA), including supply-chain and regulatory issues affecting data centers and a review of legislative matters that could affect gas utilities.
