On Springs Brook Park, staff noted a schematic design and recommended advancing phase‑1 design and developing sequencing and funding strategies before selecting future phases. Chair (speaker 1) stated he was “absolutely against the plan that we saw 100%” (referring to a pool concept in the master plan) but agreed the board should continue to revisit the project because community interest remains high.
Board members also discussed implementation details for Veterans Memorial Park and next steps for occupancy planning and project closeout. Staff said it will return with milestone updates and a public forum schedule this fall to inform funding recommendations to the board and a possible town meeting funding request.
