Several routine items were approved on the Board’s consent docket. MetroNet asked for a revocable permit to place conduit and a hand hole at Norplex Drive to activate a customer; Jake DuBord said the permit is required because the work goes under Hood Street and in the boulevard. The Board approved the MetroNet request by motion.
Also approved were two construction contract change orders for Liberty Street reconstruction, two street-privilege permits for new fiber optic cable at 10th & Ferry and 11th & Market, and a payment list for temporary limited easements tied to a state-funded project on Losey Boulevard. Director Gallagher recommended approval of the easement purchases. The Board also authorized a special report step and partial assessments for sanitary sewer laterals on the 900 block of East Avenue South as required by municipal code; staff will prepare legal documents and resolution for council action on the formal vacation/assessment steps.
