Committee approves minutes, welcomes Rep. Grayson Stone and sets filing reminders

The committee opened with procedural business: a silent roll, review of minutes and two separate approvals. Representative Mathias moved to approve the minutes from Jan. 21, 2026, and the committee approved them by voice. Earlier in the meeting members confirmed review of the Jan. 23 minutes and the chair indicated that motion also carried.
Chair Bruce Scogg also welcomed Representative Grayson Stone, who introduced himself as filling in for Representative Don Hall in District 25A. Scogg reminded members that anyone wishing to bring bills must get RS forms to him or to Nancy's desk and that fiscal statements (SOP) should be prepared in advance. The chair handed the gavel to Vice Chair Alfieri for the next presentation and closed the meeting by noting the committee will reconvene on Thursday.
