Planning & Zoning staff (Brittany Anderson and Kaelan Everhart) previously summarized concerns with the existing plan and told the joint meeting that a consultant could help avoid legal missteps by ensuring compliance with current zoning statutes and by managing stakeholder outreach. Board members discussed fiscal caution alongside the value of outside expertise; the County Manager said responses to the advertised RFP would be submitted to the boards for review before any contract decision.
