Board announces Stacy Smith as LCHS principal; district thanks interview team

Dr. John Wyrick, superintendent of Labette County USD 506, opened the June 14 meeting by congratulating Stacy Smith on being selected as the Labette County High School principal and thanking the high school principal interview team for their work. Dr. Wyrick told the board that the LCHS HVAC project and other summer maintenance projects have begun and that state assessment testing results are included in the meeting packet and will be reviewed at the July board meeting.
Stacy Smith, identified in the meeting as interim assistant principal and now the principal select, thanked the interview team and reported that LCHS graduate Jace Delich has passed State Boards and will take her physical test next week. Board members including Dr. Kolette Smith and Greg Bogner offered congratulatory remarks and thanked district staff for their summer work.
