Kimberly council votes to keep detailed minutes after debate on naming and addresses

Council Member Snarr and Mayor Burke Davidson pushed back, saying detailed minutes are valuable for public record and legal clarity, particularly for land‑use matters. City Administrator Craig Eckles said detailed minutes help keep the city out of litigation and reflect the public nature of documents presented to the council.
After discussion Council Member Snarr moved, and Council President Richman seconded, to direct staff to continue the current method of recording the minutes with as much detail as possible. The roll call vote was Richman—Yes, Ahlm—Yes, Holmgren—Yes, Snarr—Yes; the motion carried unanimously.
