La Grande board adopts 2026–2029 school calendars

The La Grande School District Board of Directors voted unanimously Feb. 11 to adopt the school calendars for 2026–2027, 2027–2028 and 2028–2029 as presented by Assistant Superintendent Scott Carpenter.
Carpenter presented the calendars on behalf of the Calendar Committee and recommended board acceptance. Director Randy Shaw moved to approve the calendars and Director Merle Comfort seconded; the motion carried with unanimous ayes from Directors Shaw, Hanson, Comfort, Jolin, Lindsey, Moore and Kevan. The board’s action was recorded as "approved as presented."
The district will publish the adopted calendars and incorporate the dates into the 2026–2027 planning documents; the item will appear in the administrative calendar and on the district website.
