Greg Cheek, chair of the Historic Richmond Hill Law School Commission, presented an FY2027 budget request of $12,600 to the Yadkin County Board of Commissioners on April 20. He said the county provides more than 90% of the site's funding and that the site relies on volunteers for staffing and programming.
Cheek described routine operating costs—utilities, pest control, security system, insurance—and noted long-term projects including renovating the kitchen, which would cost "several hundred thousand" dollars, and rebuilding a historic log teaching structure for use as a conference center. The board acknowledged the request and thanked the commission for its stewardship and programming, including the 4th-grade project that brings students to the site.
