She said county funding often acts as the required local match that allows YVEDDI to capture additional grant funds.
Payne noted that demand for senior services is increasing and that the budget request reflects higher operating costs; she thanked Commissioners Oliver and Collins for serving on the YVEDDI board and for their ongoing support. The Board received the request for consideration as part of the county'wide FY2027 budget process.
