Administrators report school fundraisers, greenhouse sales, testing status and upcoming events

Multiple administrators provided brief reports at the April 12 meeting covering school activities across the district. Chris Kastler said Meadow View celebrated with Krispy Kreme doughnut sales and a pie-in-the-face event. Spence Allison reported Bartlett Grade sold 75 hanging baskets from its greenhouse, creating more room to grow vegetables. Tiffany Flatt said Altamont Grade School had recognized paras during Para Education Week.
Tim Traxson reported that Edna Grade School's state assessment testing was going smoothly and that COVID quarantines had declined, with one student currently quarantined. Melissa Green noted Mound Valley Grade School student Alexis Spencer participated in the state spelling bee, held virtually this year. Shane Holtzman listed upcoming LCHS events, including Senior Awards Night April 26, theatre performances April 23–24, prom May 1, baccalaureate May 10, and graduation May 16. Stacy Smith reported LCHS currently had no students quarantined.
