Senator DeBarr opened Subcommittee 1’s presentation by saying the legislative operations bill (HB 1928) would be taken up and explained that the LBR figure is $40,061,684 and that "Senate action is $40,631,006.84," roughly $570,000 over LBR. He attributed the variance to increased computer support, an LBO reapportionment and a senate contingent fund.
After offering that explanation, DeBarr moved the motion "title sufficient, do pass, strike all." The chair called the question; members voiced approval and the motion carried. "All in favor, say aye" followed by "Aye" and the chair declared "The ayes have it." The committee then proceeded to the next subcommittee presentations.
