Spencer Foster presented recommended edits to the development code’s Sensitive Lands Overlay (Chapter 5.6), including adding a statutory citation to the Utah Code, clarifying that overlay and base zoning operate together, and adding specific definitions: fuel break, floodplain corridor, engineer approval and a sensitive lands permit. Commissioners agreed to include the proposed language and definitions in the next draft.
Alisha said she will distribute an updated code draft reflecting Spencer’s revisions and will provide the town’s Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) map at the next meeting. The commission directed staff to circulate the revised Chapter 5 text and continue review at the May meeting.
