Council awards Rock Creek Food Pantry $1,000 community grant

Council President Richman moved and the council approved awarding Rock Creek Food Pantry $1,000 from the community grant line. City/P&Z Administrator Craig Eckles reviewed the grant process and confirmed Rock Creek Food Pantry submitted an on-time, complete application.
Robyn Moss and Theresa Houser, representing Rock Creek Food Pantry, told the council the pantry distributes approximately 250 food boxes per month and partners with the Idaho Food Bank to obtain free or reduced food items to serve more people. Craig told the council the city no longer requires copies of checks or deposit slips with applications and said the city trusts recipients to spend awarded funds in accordance with their applications.
