During commission member reports, Alisha O’Driscoll said she would update the development-code checklist and raised the topic of a volunteer sheriff. Tammy Graham noted the town may lack resources (training, vehicle, dispatch) and population to support a volunteer sheriff and said the idea should be explored further when Sam Hicken or additional information is available.
Spencer Foster explained that an electronic-meetings ordinance could be tailored to the town’s preferences and said the draft opens electronic participation to more members. The commission did not take formal action; members asked staff to gather more information and return with details at a later meeting.
