Board reviews BBF and BBAA policies and hears training option from OSBA-certified trainer

The board used part of the Aug. 9 workshop to review governance policies BBF and BBAA that outline standards of conduct and limits on individual members' authority.
Superintendent George Mendoza told the board that training is available from OSBA-certified trainer Mark Mulvihill and that the district can arrange board development on topics requested by members. "The Board can get training on any topic from OSBA certified trainer, Mark Mulvihill," Mendoza said.
Members discussed how training and policy refreshers can reduce confusion about individual authority and improve decision-making consistency across the board.
