La Grande Middle and High School staff report 83% Freshmen On-Track rate; TAG program grows to 90 students

At the Aug. 27 special board meeting, Sam Fiorito reported the district is "currently on track with 83% of Freshmen On-Track, exceeding our goal." Fiorito credited Core Collaborative training at La Grande High School and middle school supports, including a new 8th Grade On-Track Ceremony, for promoting student success.
The district also reported that the Talented and Gifted (TAG) program continues to grow and is serving 90 students. Board members commended the local school efforts and asked staff to continue tracking on‑track indicators and share progress at future meetings.
