La Pine names finance director as budget officer for FY2026-27; budget calendar outlined

The City Council unanimously appointed Finance Director Ashley Ivans as Budget Officer for the 2026-27 fiscal year during the March 25 meeting. Ivans presented the budget calendar and process for the coming fiscal year and answered council questions about next steps before the formal budget hearings.
Ivans told the Council she is preparing the budget and is looking forward to the upcoming council retreat; she also advised she will be out at the beginning of April. The appointment was made by motion from Councilor Morse, seconded by Councilor Shields, and approved by roll-call vote with all members voting aye. Staff indicated they will continue to move through the calendared milestones and return with budget-related materials for council review.
