Justin Arnold, Laramie County Planning, said the amendment applies to roughly 85 acres and adds uses such as truck stops; vehicle fueling stations including electric truck and automobile charging stations; battery energy storage systems; alternative energy fueling including hydrogen; and mobile data center sites. The amendment limits building height in the gateway zone to 45 feet and allows vehicle repair and screened outdoor storage under specified conditions.
Jason Crowder, representing Freshley Energy LLC, told the commission the project is compatible with surrounding land uses and will assist travelers along I‑80. Planning recommended approval and the board adopted the amended PUD language and map with no conditions.
