Board approves consent agenda, surplus laminator and a package of meals-and-gifts resolutions

The Umatilla School District Board unanimously approved its consent agenda at the Nov. 13 meeting after Board Member Josiah Barron declared a conflict for two staff members (Tami Watson and Aleesha Watson), which the board agreed to add to the conflicts list.
The board also declared a district laminator surplus and approved a group of ethics-related resolutions permitting meals and gifts for employees, advisors and several individual board members. Superintendent Heidi Sipe read the resolutions on the record. Chair Lesly Claustro-Sanguino, Toby Cranston, Steve Warr, Josiah Barron and Jorge Meza declared actual conflicts of interest where indicated; the board recorded votes and approved the measures. The board adjourned at 8:05 p.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for Dec. 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
