Umatilla School Board unanimously approves consent agenda and a package of district policies

The Umatilla School District Board of Directors approved its consent agenda and a package of district policy updates during its Oct. 9, 2025, regular meeting. The consent agenda included September workshop and regular meeting minutes, supervisory staff and board conflicts of interest, disbursements, and financial statements; the motion passed unanimously, 4-0.
The board also voted to adopt several policy updates. Policies approved included DBEA (Budget Committee, Version 2), IGBAB/JO-AR (Education Records/Records of Students with Disabilities), IIA (Instructional Materials), IKF (Graduation Requirements), JHCA/JHCB (Immunization and School Sports Participation), JO/IGBAB-AR (Education Records/Records of Students with Disabilities), JOA (Directory Information), and LBEA (Denial for Virtual Public Charter School Student Enrollment). Board Member Jon Lorence made the motion to approve the policy package, seconded by Board Member Josiah Barron; the board voted 4-0 in favor.
The board conducted these routine governance actions early in the meeting and did not request additional materials or postpone items. No public input was recorded on the policies.
